Every year we support a different local group to organise and run the CN/CTC national conference. The conference focuses on current themes and issues in cycling and we engage relevant speakers to offer debate and enlightenment. The idea of running the annual conference can be a bit daunting but it is a great experience and groups get a lot of valuable experience and local exposure from hosting the CN/CTC annual conference.

The conference is a great opportunity for groups to meet other campaigners and to find out what is current in cycle campaigning, ask some questions, meet other campaign groups and enjoy a good weekend away. We vary the format and content to make these useful and informative and to allow discussion with the presenters. The groups always work really hard to ensure that the event is a success and there are organised rides and socials over the weekend too. The cost is kept very low and a limited amount of accommodation is available with local cyclists if required.

The papers presented at our conferences for the last few years are available below and these are a useful resource for cycle campaigners, providing evidence, arguments and answers to some of the questions we all have.

The 2015 conference was in Liverpool, hosted by Merseyside Cycle Campaign. The 2016 conference will be held on Saturday 19th November - further information and tickets are available at cyclenation.org.uk/conference.
